A number of our members participate in the art of quarteting. There's nothing quite like being the only one the in group singing your part! These women are valuable chorus members too, as they rehearse, receive coaching and practice the art of excellence as a quartet member, in addition to the chorus.
These quartets are available to perform as well. If you're looking for some intimate four-part harmonies for entertainment at your next event, have a look our quartets:
Soundwave
Soundwave formed in November 2010 in time to sing a few Christmas performances with Cascade Harmony Chorus. Members include Gail Shelton, tenor; Joyce Wheeler, lead; Sandy Cahill, baritone and Marsha Kelly, bass. With more than 100 years of a cappella singing experience between them, this quartet is really enjoying learning new music and getting to know each other.
They competed in May 2011 in Spokane with 23 other quartets and were extremely excited to take first place! As a result, they go on to compete in the Sweet Adeline International Competition this October in Houston. They couldn't be prouder to represent the chorus and the region.
Stardust
Stardust was formed in 2005. Tenor Kristi sings with Cascade Harmony Chorus and Pride of Portland. The quartet loves to perform and compete.
Touche
We are proud to claim part of the 2011 2nd place international quartet with Kim Chadwick-McCormic as a key member of Cascade Harmony Chorus. Kim is part of the musical leadership of CHC and the bass in Touche. Gina Baker, lead; Patty Cobb Baker, tenor and Jan Anton, baritone comprise this coast-to-coast quartet who will also be competing in Houston this October.
