Region 24 Champion Quartet

Vibe, region 24’s first place quartet, formed from the 2006 and 2007 first place quartet, Unlimited. When Unlimited’s baritone stepped down after competing in Calgary in 2007, Cascade Harmony director Sandy Cahill auditioned for the spot. It was a match made in Portland!

This quartet is made up of four very experienced singers. Joyce earned two third place international quartet medals singing with Blue Razzberry Rhythm and other medals too numerous to mention. Sandy, Paula, and Lisa each have several region 24 first place medals – Sandy with Out of Bounds and Take Note (the 2005 11th place international quartet), Paula with High Frequency, and Lisa with Out of Bounds.

In addition to their love of music, Vibe members have a strong friendship. This quartet claims they would form a bowling league together if they couldn’t sing!

Region 24 Fourth Place Quartet

WKBS, region 24’s fourth place quartet, formed in January 2008 — just in time to make the deadline for registering with Sweet Adelines International.

Lynn won her first gold medal with Surround Sound in 1992 and again in 1993. She then sang with Renaissance and won several second place medals. Lynn sings tenor with Cascade Harmony. Charlie Brown has sung in eight quartets and has won two first place medals — in 1991 with Indigo Blue and in 2005 with Take Note. Take Note went on to place 11th at International in 2005 and was honored to be the mic tester for the quartet finals. Charlie sings bass with Cascade Harmony and is our assistant director. Trina has sung with several quartets and won her first gold with Take Note in 2005. Missy has also sung in several quartets, but this was her first medal, and she's on cloud nine

Lynn, Trina, Missy, and Charlie have a great time singing together and have become fast friends.
